Materials Needed
- Indoor: A board on the wall with a line describing level of energy (high / medium / low), sticky notes or magnets with players' names.
- Outdoor: 3 cones on a line describing level of energy (high / medium / low), players' own water bottle.
Instructions
- Before the warming-up, each player has a magnet or sticky note with their name on it, or their own water bottle.
- Ask the players: "How much energy do you have at this moment?"
- Let them put their marker at a spot on the line.
- Ask a few of the players to verbalize what they can do to have the same amount of energy or more energy in the next training session.
- Then the warming-up can start.
Variation
Add a second question: "How pleasant is your energy?" (unpleasant / neutral / pleasant). The follow-up: "What can you do to have a more pleasant energy in the next training session?" Unpleasant may be frustrated or sad; pleasant may be happy.
