High Five on My Goal

Materials Needed

No materials needed.

Instructions

  1. Explain the drill.
  2. Ask the players what they want to focus on in the drill. Have them answer out loud in a maximum of 2 words (e.g. speed, precision, head up).
  3. Explain that after performing the drill, they have to run back to the start position. While passing the coach:
    • They give a high five when they are happy with the execution of their focus area.
    • They give a low five when not yet happy.
  4. Optimally the player would mention the focus area while giving the five (so "high speed" + high five).

Variation

Instead of the high five, you can ask them to show a happy or sad face when passing by, or give a thumb up or thumb down.
