How Did I Do?

Materials Needed

  • 4 cones next to the field. On each cone with masking tape is written a reason for the drill not being executed well. For example:
    • Cone 1: "My focus"
    • Cone 2: "My speed"
    • Cone 3: "Timing"
    • Cone 4: "Other"

Instructions

  1. Explain the drill, the goal, and the point of focus. Start the drill.
  2. After several minutes, terminate the drill.
  3. Ask the players to stand in a straight line. Ask the group: "Did you reach your goal?" Let them take a step forward when "YES," a step backward when "NO."
  4. Then give the instruction: go stand next to the cone that best explains what made you not completely reach the goal of the drill.
  5. Ask a few of the players to explain their answer.
